Local Adult Education Classes Offered for 2018-2019
ADULT CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT PROGRAM (CNA)
INSTRUCTOR: Mrs. Missy Stock, RN BSN
This hybrid course couples the HealthCare 21 online Nurse Assistant curriculum and the State of Missouri Certified Nurse Assistant Manual. The course will have a total of 3 in-class sessions, combining classroom and lab work. The classroom sessions will begin at the scheduled times in room 112 at Boonslick Technical Education Center. The course will be open for the student to complete all required curriculum in 4 weeks. The online curriculum can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, including smartphones or tablets. This provides students ample time to complete the required coursework.
The online curriculum logs the amount of time the student is engaged in curriculum, so keeping track of the 75 hours and the student's learning outcomes is simple. The online program can read the lessons to the students, will quiz them throughout each lesson, and give them immediate feedback on their progress. The students will have deadlines for the online modules, monitored by Mrs. Stock. Printouts of progress will be available to the employer. Mrs. Stock will be available to the students by phone during the office hours of 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. and by email at email@example.com 24-hours a day. Course work prepares you for your clinical experience; we, however, do not provide the clinical experience for you. After completion of your clinical hours, you may sit for your state CNA exam.
The course tuition is $625, which includes the technology fee and State of Missouri Certified Nurse Assistant manual. Students must pay ½ the tuition cost ($312.50) one week prior to the first day of the course. Final payment is expected on the 2nd in-class day of the course. We do not accept debit or credit cards at this time. Payment will need to be check or cash.
For more information or to register for the course, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 660-882-5306 and speak with Brenda Selby, our career education counselor.
